How a show is scored

Speed, the Double and the final, in plain words.

Every show has twelve questions, then a final for the top players. Here is how a show's points add up, step by step.

Speed counts

A right answer earns between 500 and 1,000 points. Answer the moment the question appears and you get all 1,000; the longer you take, the fewer you get, down to half. A wrong answer earns nothing, and takes nothing away.

Time is kept by the server, not your phone's clock, and the server credits back your connection's delay, up to a third of a second.

The Double

You get one Double in every show. Switch it on before a question appears, in the lobby or between questions, and that question's points count twice. It is used up whether you answer right or not, so pick your moment.

The final

The ten highest scores go to the final: one question after another, and a wrong answer is out. If everyone left gets the same question wrong, nobody goes out. The last one standing wins. If the questions run out first, the win goes to the most right answers in the final, then to the fastest there. There is always exactly one winner.

Ties

When two players have the same points, the one who took less time answering, in total, comes first. A question left unanswered counts its whole time.

And your total points?

A show's points decide your rank in that show and start from zero every night. Your own total, which grows with everything you play, the daily wheel and the prizes are explained in How prizes and points work.
